A city Mayor in Indonesia has rightly come under fire for sharing his belief that instant noodles and formula milk are ‘making babies gays’.
Arief R Wismansyah made the claims at a seminar about pregnancy in Jakarta earlier this week.
As reported by Indonesian website Okenzone, Wismansyah said:
“To create Indonesian children that are healthy smart and competitive, the most important thing is, from the beginning, to provide them adequate nutrition, especially breastfeeding.”
He criticized parents for a reliance on canned milk and noodles.
“It’s no wonder there are more LGBT,” he said.
He continued:
“God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Asep”.
He further blamed the internet for spreading LGBT thoughts and views.
Wismansyah also called for parents to monitor their children’s internet viewing to avoid encountering such messages.
