It was a night for leaving the jersey at home and pulling on the guna instead.
Last Saturday night some of the finest amateur sportswomen the country were honoured at the O’Neill’s All Star Awards.
All-Ireland champions Cork took home the top tally of plaudits with seven awards, while their opponents in the final, Kerry, too home three. National league champions Monaghan were rewarded with two All Star titles, while Dublin, Mayo and Armagh claimed one award each.
