The secret to a good sex life has been revealed this week and unsurprisingly, the key lies between the sheets.
According to a new study published by the Journal of Sexual Medicine, an extra hour of sleep per night is vital in order to have fun under the covers.
The new research has revealed that a woman’s sex drive is likely to improve by up to 14% if there is more sleeping done beforehand.
Getting down to the heart of the matter, the reality of the research is that if you get the correct amount of sleep that your body requires, you are more likely to have more sex.
“The influence of sleep on sexual desire and arousal has received little attention in the field, but these findings indicate that insufficient sleep can decrease sexual desire and arousal for woman,” said Dr. David Kalmbach, lead author and resident at the University of Michigan Medical School.
The research was carried out on 171 women over the course of 14 days, and tracked their sleeping habits over that period.
Not only did the results show that the likelihood of having sex after an extra hour of sleep improves by 14%, but it also showed that women who had more sleep got more enjoyment from sex.
