Summer is in the air and that can only mean one thing in GAA circles – championship season.

For Wexford ladies football veteran Sharon Kehoe though, she will have to give this weekend’s Leinster Championship opener against London a miss – for a very special reason.

“I just couldn’t time the date right, but sure that’s how it goes.”

Despite missing the game, Sharon is hugely excited about Wexford’s prospects on Sunday.
