2001 was a big year. Films released back then included Shrek, Ocean’s 11 and Monster’s Inc., and popular songs included Family Affair by Mary J Blige and The Middle by Jimmy Eat World.
15 years later, a man called Alex Moss was doing some renovations on his new home in Manchester when he found a note from a Darren Lucas dated from 2001 :

Intrigued, Moss took to Twitter to find Darren and it wasn’t long before the power of social media meant the two men finally got in touch and began to bond over the house.
