We’ve heard of people making love connections in the most unlikely of places, singles night in grocery stores being just one example. But the library? Probably one of the last places we’d imagine anyone doing the groundwork for a hot hook-up.
But that’s exactly what’s happening in one Irish college, and this is the best example of it we’ve seen to date. UCD Library has its very own Facebook page for students of the Dublin college to post little love notes to fellow men and women who are hard at it (studying that is – don’t be filthy).
There are some true beauties on the page, such as:
“to the girl sitting beside me earlier in a grey jumper who was texting her granny all morning, maybe the three of us can meet up for some ‘extra curricular’ activities”
“To the strapping young fella on the 3rd floor sitting across from me, yes you looking at the screen and smiling in the blue top!! Now looking at me with your ‘these are my sex appeal eyes’ I’d give you one alright…. Out of ten!! Stop pouting into the screen an study!! You sound like darthvader
#LukeIAmYourFather”
“To the guy with the thick Cork accent on the first floor of the library who won’t shut up: I will find your mother, I will bring her out for a beautiful meal, I will make sweet love to he then marry her, I will make you accept me as your new father, then I will leave you on Christmas Eve”
But our favourite to date, getting a big fat ‘A’ for effort, is this love letter posted on the page, based on the song by legendary singer/wordsmith/poet – Peter Andre.
‘Guy in the Dublin jersey’ – you’re amazing. We hope you score.
