9 things… you should do before you turn 30

Thirtieth birthdays are always a big deal and often people start to think about all of the things that they still haven’t done.

From jumping out of planes to travelling the world, here is our ultimate pre-30th birthday bucket list.

1. Take the leap…

Doing a skydive is possibly one of the most exhilarating and terrifying things you will do but absolutely worth every nerve-wracking minute.

2. Shop ‘til you drop

A shopping trip in New York City with your girls is a must – regardless of age. Head off for a sneaky four-day weekend, have cosmos and handbags galore and come back refreshed and most certainly in love with the Big Apple.

3. Camp it, don’t glamp it

At least once (if not nearly 100 times) before you hit the big 3-0 you have to head to a festival and do the full-on camping that must include a barely waterproof tent, a serious lack of showers, copious amounts of hand sanitizer, bags of toilet roll but hopefully, the chance to see your favourite band too!

4. Treat yourself

Buy yourself something really, really expensive that you will treasure for years to come – be it a designer handbag, jewellery or some absolutely killer designer heels it will be worth it. And it’s all about cost per wear.

5. Go solo

Travel the world and broaden your horizons, as experiencing the world will stand to you for years to come and will teach you some valuable lessons. Try to take a trip on your own at some point – a voyage of self-discovery will show you just what your hidden inner strengths are and you may just surprise yourself.

6. Challenge yourself

There’s nothing more satisfying than setting yourself a challenge and fulfilling it. Be it a 5k run to an all-out marathon or triathlon, crossing that finish line – even if it is a metaphorical one – will be the best feeling ever.

7. Give something back

Take some time to volunteer at a local charity or centre and see what your help can do to change people’s lives for the better.

8. See New Year’s Eve in Sydney

There’s nothing more spectacular on New Year’s Eve then the fireworks show at Sydney Harbour. Grab a group of friends and head to the land Down Under for an experience you will never forget.

9. Road trip to Vegas

There are a lot of famous routes around the world, but one of our favourite must-see roads for a road trip has to be the world famous Route 66 in the USA.  Take a car and some friends and drive your way to Vegas to celebrate your 30thbirthday.

That sounds like a pretty amazing birthday party to us!
