With festival season well underway, dreams of holidays to the sun and concerts happening left right and centre, it may seem like you will be completely broke come the end of September.
In fact, with all that is going on it’s actually the best time to start putting some money away, as you will be glad of it once autumn kicks in.
Here’s just some of our favourite reasons you should start to budget this month.

We love bags
What better way to cheer up your end-of-summer blues then nabbing yourself that handbag you have your eye on? It could be yours if you put away some money each week and will comfort you in your end of festival gloom.
Sun, sea and sand
The evenings will be getting darker, it’ll be raining, and basically, you’ll be counting the months until next summer. Why not put some money away for a sneaky break to the sun this autumn?
Budgeting will become that much easier if you have a good incentive!
Shop ‘til you drop
Never mind a trip to the sun, how about a pre-Christmas (yes, we did say the ‘C’ word) shopping spree? In New York for that matter! (Or honestly, anywhere at all really!).
A tenner every week from now on will go a long way to getting you all the clothes your heart desires.
Snap happy
Take your saving down a different route altogether and save up for that new camera you’ve had your eye on. Autumn is a gorgeous month for snapping pictures out and about so why not?
Relax and unwind
A rest is as good as anything, so why not save up and treat you and your nearest and dearest to a luxurious spa weekend away. It will be the perfect way to relax and de-stress after a hectic summer.
Festival fun
Imagine how empty it’s going to feel once Electric Picnic is over? Start your festival savings plan – be it Glastonbury, Benicassim, Electric Picnic or Longitude (in fact, why not all of them?!), you could have an amazing summer in 2016 if you put your mind to it.
And finally…
Knuckle down. Aside from the obvious luxuries that a bit of saving will afford you, if you really put your mind to it, budgeting and saving properly will help you towards getting money together for that dream car or a deposit on a house… the possibilities are endless!
