Your carefree college existence is short and sweet which means you should make the most of it while you are there.
To help you do so, we’re counting down 48 ways to unlock your potential both at college and on campus. We did the first 24 yesterday so here are the rest of our tips…
25. Go to workshops
Be it a masterclass in Excel or a lesson on learning how to use the laundry facilities, go to as many things as you possibly can. These are life lessons.
26. Learn a new skill
Be it sowing, a new language or the art of pranking your housemates (in a safe way), learn anything and everything you can.
27. Learn to cook
This is necessary to your survival so do it.
28. Date wisely
As well as your studies, it’s important to put some work into your personal life so be open to new experiences.
29. Meet people outside your class
Unless of course you want every conversation you have to be about that assignment that’s due next week.
30. Accept criticism
You’ll get a lot of it. Trust us.
31. Don’t let failure get you down
Remember, in the words of the very wise and wonderful Kelly Clarkson, what doesn’t kill you makes your stronger.
32. Be yourself
It sounds cheesy but it’s true. Don’t pretend to be something you’re not and if you’re not sure who that is, this is the perfect time to find out.

33. Set goals
We’re not talking about setting out to eat a certain amount of biscuits or planning on watching 12 straight hours of television (you can do that as well of course), this is more about academic goals.
34. Organise yourself
Get a diary and write EVERYTHING down.
35. Contribute to society
Get out and do something that benefits the community.
36. Trust your instincts
More often than not, they’re right… unless it tells you that staying up all night for three days running is a good idea or that that assignment isn’t REALLY necessary.
37. Take a walk
It’s important to take a breather every-so-often and relax the mind so what better way to do this than hopping away from the computer for a breath of fresh air. You’ll feel so much better afterwards.
38. Compete in academic competitions
Not only is it a challenge but it’s perfect for adding onto your CV later!
39. Fundraise
There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping others and funraising is the way to go to meeting so many inspirational people.
40.Let your hair down
College isn’t just about getting the grades it’s about having fun too!

41. Befriend exchange students
Remember you were once in their shoes in an unknown environment for the first time!
42. Go to quizzes
Rally the troops together and take part in quizzes. Alternative night out to a night on the booze, plus it’s a fantastic way at actually utilizing all of those random facts you’ve got stored in your head;.
43. Stay safe
Use protection!
44. Broaden your horizons
Try something new. Move away from the norm and tackle something that’s a bit out of your comfort-zone. Discover talents that you didn’t know you had!
45. Get involved in debates
If you’re opinionated and well able to fight your corner, debates are amazing at showcasing those talents.
46. Relax and laze about all day
You don’t constantly have to be on the go, take the time out for a bit of “me” time.
47. Travel
After college you’ll be thrown head first into the real world so while you’re at college make sure you take the time out to jet off to foreign lands. The experience will be well worth it.

Simple but enriching. Share your stories and experiences with others and they’ll share your stories with you!
