And now, the end is here, and so we face the final curtain… On Sunday Mayo and Dublin will battle it out to be crowned All-Ireland champions.

So we decided to make a list of things to watch out for.

The lads on the pitch will have their eyes on Sam Maguire, our eyes however, may possibly be on a number of things other than the game… What?! We mean the scoreboard.

Here are 11 reasons every woman in the country will be tuning in to watch the All-Ireland Championship Final.

1. The Championship Haircut

Every team member gets one before the big game. After all their face will be featuring on every screen around the country

2. Short Shorts

Who wears short shorts? THEY ALL wear short shorts…

3. Swapping Of The Jerseys

God bless the man who started this tradition. Some team players like to keep their own jersey, however there are the few absolute gents that swap their team top for their opponents.

4. Legs, Legs And More Legs

The best way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.

5. Plenty Of Balls

O’Neill’s are producing great balls for years now, good on them.

6. Grown Men Being Extremely Emotional

It is one of the only times we’ll see grown men openly crying in public. Tears of joy, but they’re tears all the some.

7. The Dirty Tackle

Get in there my son… because we certainly would!

8. Handsome Folk In The Crowd

Howiya Enda.

9. Marty Morrissey

That smile, that hair, that twinkle in the eye, that natural west of Ireland tan, we’ll miss our regular dose of Party Marty.

10. Pitch Invasion

Watching the Croke Park security attempt to fight back the surge of supporters making their way onto the pitch is extremely entertaining.

11. Talent Spotting

The easiest time for talent spotting is at the beginning of the match.

The team march behind the Artane band and standing for the National Anthem are crucial times to tune in. Trust us, we know these things.
