Doctor Who fans rejoice! The first image of Peter Capaldi donning his time lord outfit has been revealed.
The new incarnation features no fancy fez or bowties but a dark coat with a red lining, white shirt and navy trousers.
“New Doctor, new era, and of course new clothes. Monsters of the universe, the vacation is over – Capaldi is suited and bootedand coming to get you!” said showrunner Steven Moffat. Here’s the first pic in all of its glory:
The new costume was designed by Howard Burden.
“He’s woven the future from the cloth of the past. Simple, stark, and back to basics. No frills, no scarf, no messing, just 100% Rebel Time Lord,” said Capaldi.
