There is little as exciting as meeting someone that you really like.
The butterflies on the first date, the ‘getting to know you’ on the next few meetings, the Cheshire Cat grin following the first sleepover… but how do you know if this one is really worth taking yourself off the market for?
Here are a few telltale signs…
1) You CANNOT stop thinking about them
You think about him on your way to work, your mind wanders to something interesting he said during a work meeting, you’re glancing at your phone wondering when you’ll hear from him by the afternoon? Sorry to break it to you, this one’s gotten under your skin.
2) You smile every time you read a text from them
You might be as crafty as James Bond the rest of the time but that big stupid smile is going to let everyone know that you’re loved up.
3) You want to spend all of your free time with them
All of a sudden, your yoga class and Sons Of Anarchy marathons don’t seem quite as pressing…
4) You find yourself mentioning them constantly when talking to your friends
It’s not your fault that he’s so funny/intelligent/up-to-date on current affairs!
5) You’re in great form
A sudden downpour, hassle at work? Ain’t nothing gonna rain on your parade!
6) You haven’t logged on to Tinder in weeks
Three weeks ago, you saw more of your dating app than you did of your flatmates. Now? You’ve forgotten you ever downloaded it.
7) You keep trying to figure out what’s wrong with them
Surely, there has to be something…maybe he’s an axe murderer… or really likes cats.
8) You can talk with them for hours and not get bored
One of the best things about a boyfriend is those rambling conversations about nothing. If he can hold your attention, that’s a very good sign.
9) You have to restrain yourself from touching them all the time
No, we don’t mean jumping his bones.. well, that too… but one thing you’ll always notice about a new couple is the physical contact. Hand holding, leg stroking? You’re in trouble.
10) You’re planning ahead
You have a week off booked for February. You had thought about heading off on sun holiday but now, a weekend in Paris with your new beau seems like a much more tempting option.
