One in five Irish workers have revealed that they couldn’t go 24 hours without a caffeine hit.
A survey, conducted by office supplier Viking ahead of International Coffee Day tomorrow, has found that coffee is as popular as ever.
Over 40 per cent of Irish workers said that they “rely” on a cuppa to get them through the day with a quarter admitting they need a fix on a daily basis.

The morning was found to be the most popular time of the day to brew up a cup with many others turning to one to help get over the afternoon slump.
Almost 70 per cent of those asked said they would have between two and four cups a day while 12 per cent would consume between five and seven.
As for which was the most popular beverage, the Americano came out as favourite with over half of the vote. The Latte came in second followed by a Cappuccino and then the espresso.
