Your Smartphone Can Now Tell You When You’re Pregnant

Technology can do way too much now.

Just in case you weren’t aware that technology is taking over, there’s now a new app that can tell you when you’re pregnant.

First Response, one of the main producers of pregnancy tests, has unveiled an app that will tell you whether or not you’re pregnant.

You still have to pee on a stick. And you still have to wait three minutes.

So how is this a new invention?

Reported by Cosmopolitan, the Pregnancy PRO Digital Pregnancy Test was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show this week, and while you still have to pee on a stick, this time there’s some added tech to the experience.

The stick will have an added microchip which will sync with a smartphone app via Bluetooth.  After the countdown clock shows you the three minutes, your results will appear on screen.

So what’s the massive difference between this and a standard pregnancy test?

While you might face the three-minute wait in fear and anxiety, this app provides three options to see the time through – “Calm Me” (featuring videos of puppies), “Educate Me” (to learn about your fertility cycle) and “Entertain Me”… which is pretty self-explanatory.

After you receive your results, you’re then given a series of options on whether or not you’re expecting.

Trying to get pregnant?

The app can also help you record your fertility year-round – which is pretty handy if you’re looking at planning on extending your family in 2016.
