Whole New Woman… Seven Simple Ways To Feel Bloody Fantastic About Yourself

Seven simple things...

Her

Sometimes we can feel a little bit overwhelmed; our hectic modern lives can do that to us.

If you feel like you need a little wellbeing improvement but aren’t quite pushed on the idea of spending some dolla-dolla on a break away from it all, try some of these tips.

They’re simple, they’re CHEAP and they’re perfectly do-able.

Get ready to become a whole new woman…

1. Smile, Even When You Don’t Want To

There is actual real-life scientific evidence that smiling can help the body and mind recover from stress. Smiling can make your heart rate return to normal levels post-stress, maintain positive feelings and and can jump-start the process of happiness.

Sounds good to us.

2. The Soundtrack To Your Commute

A commute longer than 22 minutes each way can have a negative impact on your well-being, but there are ways you can fix this without upping and leaving your humble abode.

Use your commute as a mini break. Find a good podcast or playlist, focus on your breathing and try and clear your mind of any to-do lists or worry. It can wait.

3. Don’t Kick The Chocolate Habit

Don’t give up something you love. If you’re a chocoholic, wear that title with PRIDE. However, there are a few ways you can switch it up to benefit your health. Try and change your chocolate fix to dark chocolate. It’s full of anti-oxidants and, believe it or not, can relieve stress.

4. Stay Active

It sounds like a difficult task if you’re based at a desk from nine to five, but it’s easier than you think. It’s the little things that add up.

Think of how you can add micro-exercise to your day; swap the lift for the stairs, ditch the email and take a trip across the office… every little helps.

5. Create A “Technology Sundown”

Most of us snuggle up in bed at night to twenty minutes browsing Facebook on the laptop, tweeting a few important messages or using our iPads to browse the web for any news to read before we sleep.

Ditch the light that close to your bedtime. Electronic screens and artifical light should not be the last things you see before you nod off. The short wavelengths of light emitted by electronics can help suppress melatonin. That’s the hormone that signals to the body that the sun has gone down and helps it get ready for sleep.

So, no matter how tired you are, your body will find it difficult to switch off. Stop the screens an hour before you snooze and keep your bedtime traditional…

6. Pull On Your Socks

If you do have trouble sleeping, try this trick. Warm your feet up by wearing socks before your bedtime. Swiss researchers found that people fall asleep faster when their hands and feet are warmer than the ambient temperature of the bedroom.

Good to know!

7. Yummy Berries

Snack on strawberries and blueberries throughout the day and lower your risk of heart attack. Strawberries can also make your teeth whiter.

Great for your health and beauty…
