A two-year-old boy from China has sparked controversy as he is apparently ‘addicted’ to alcohol.

According to the Shanghaiist, Cheng Cheng prefers drinking wine and beer over milk. His first taste of the stuff came at 10-months-old when his father gave him chopsticks dipped in wine.

Since then, the toddler has always craved alcohol and throws tantrums over it. In fact, his aunt said that he downed a whole bottle of beer recently after his dad offered him a small sip.

Cai Teng explained: “All of us in the family have already thought that this child can really drink a lot when he grows up”.

She added that the family, who are reportedly being investigated by local authorities, are now hiding alcoholic beverages from Cheng Cheng as they are afraid it will affect his growth.

A meeting to decide the boy’s future has been scheduled for this week.
