Think Celebrity Workout DVD’s Are A Con? You Might Be Right

She grew up on our TV screens in one of the UK’s favourite soaps and had struggled with her weight since childhood so when the well known actress dropped from a size 16 to a size 6 in a matter of months everyone wanted to know her secret.

But, Natalie Cassidy is now speaking out about the weight loss DVD that helped her shift several stone and says that although she told people her weight loss was down to healthy eating and working out, it was actually down to severe calorie restriction.

The 29-year-old mum-of-one’s 2007 DVD Natalie Cassidy’s Then & Now Workout shifted more than 100,000 copies and is still one of the UK’s top selling fitness DVD’s but speaking to the Sunday Mirror Natalie admits that “It was all a bit of a farce. It was all wrong.”

And behind the scenes, Natalie admits that friends and family were worried about her shrinking frame.

“I was really obsessed, I would spend hours thinking about what I could eat the rest of the day. 

“My world revolved around calories. I would have no breakfast, a tiny bowl of soup for lunch then a tiny salad. And that was it.”

The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant also admits that her devotion to keeping the weight off afftected her social life and she became a recluse but has since found happiness with partner Adam Cottrell and their daughter Eliza.

And, although she acknowledges that the public will probably have a hard time trusting her again, the former actress would love to release another workout DVD showing people the right way to keep the weight off.
