The secret food to guarantee yourself an extra two years of life? It’s simple.
Researchers have claimed that eating fish could help you live at least two years longer.
It’s a simple dinner dish that’s easy to incorporate into your daily diet…
US researchers have found that the risk of dying from heart disease was reduced by one third compared with adults who had lower blood levels of fatty acids, the Daily Mail reports.
The researchers at the Harvard School Of Public Health and the University of Washington found adults that had higher blood levels of the fatty acids lived a whole 2.2 years longer than those with lower levels.
“Although eating fish has long been considered part of a healthy diet, few studies have assessed blood omega-3 levels and total deaths in older adults”, lead author Dariush Mozaffarian said.
“Our findings support the importance of adequate blood omega-3 levels for cardiovascular health, and suggest that later in life these benefits could actually extend the years of remaining life.”
Fish provides omega-3 fatty acids which are essential for brain development and previous studies have found that fish reduce the risk of dying from heart disease.
It’s the perfect choice for a light dinner as the evenings are getting longer.
