October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Marie Keating Foundation is urging women across the country to get behind their new campaign.
It’s very simple to get involved, simply bring one of your bras (any colour/size/shape/condition is acceptable) to one of the designated drop-off points and Roche Products (Ireland) Limited will donate €1 to the Marie Keating Foundation.
Every year, over 3,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer and all of the money raised from this initiative will go towards funding more cancer awareness campaigns so that more people are aware of the signs of cancer.
It is essential to be aware of changes in your breasts so you can visit your doctor if you notice any difference. Early detection is key to surviving breast cancer.
If you can’t make it to one of the drop-off points, (find a list here) then you can send your bra to Bras for Breast Cancer, 5th Floor, Huguenot House, 35 – 38 Stephens Green, Dublin 2.
For larger offices and organisations, the foundation will provide a free bra drop bin and you can contact them via the Marie Keating website.
If you have time, there’s also the opportunity to fundraise for Marie Keating by hosting a girls night for your friends. Catch up with your girls and raise awareness about an important campaign, what’s not to love!?
