Team Her.ie is taking part in this year’s Flora Women’s Mini Marathon and we want YOU to join us.
Last week the Irish Cancer Society launched their mini-marathon appeal, calling out to women across Ireland and asking them to walk, run or jog on the day in aid of vital local and national cancer services.
We at Her.ie will be stepping up and taking part, so today we’re launching The Pink Brigade. Starting today we’ll be counting down to the June event with training tips, time, speed and distance markers, testimonials from those who know first hand how vital the services provided by the Irish Cancer Society are, and much, much more.
We’ll have stories from women who have fought cancer and won, from families who have been through it before, and from women across the country who have already completed previous mini-marathons in honour of a cause close to their hearts.
Over 26,000 people in Ireland will be diagnosed with cancer this year. The Irish Cancer Society is Ireland’s national cancer charity, and funds raised for the Irish Cancer Society will; help provide information, support and care to those with, and affected by, cancer in Ireland; fund research projects to improve diagnostic test and treatments for people with cancer; fund advocacy campaigns, ensuring that Ireland has world class cancer services.
That’s why we’ve chosen it as our partner charity for this year’s mini-marathon, and why we’d like you to join us in The Pink Brigade.
Simply register your interest my dropping us a line to info@her.ie, and we’ll let you know all the details, help you get signed up, and send you a weekly mail with motivational messages, training tips and much more.
So join us this June and help The Irish Cancer Society raise vital funds. Email us now, info@her.ie… We can’t wait to welcome you to The Pink Brigade!
