Grab your sister, round-up your best mates, your mum and your aunties… It’s summertime which means you have no excuses not to catch up with the ladies you love.
With longer evenings, and the end to the winter blues, there’s never a better time to get out and about and try your hand at a new sport or hobby.
So here at Her towers, we’ve picked five ways to while away the summer days…
Challenge Yourself to An Adventure Race!
Reconnect with the girls, and take on a positive challenge this summer by signing up for the Women’s Adventure Race. Test yourselves to a training mission that will see you running, kayaking and cycling your way to a personal victory. Celebrate achieving a group goal and show the world how fearless, fabulous, resilient and strong we women are!
Start a Book Club
We love a good natter, but what makes it even better? Throw in a cuppa and give us a classic book to read. A book club is the perfect excuse to lose yourself in some light-hearted fun while catching up with friends and family. Just don’t forget the biscuits, they definitely add to the heated discussion.
See a Musical
Nothing says catching up with the ladies like booking in to a sing-along session. From classic shows to modern musicals, a trip into the theatre can leave you feeling on top of the world. For mother-daughter catch ups, why not treat yourself to a dinner date first? Expect a perfect daughter award to head your way…

Come Dine With Me… And The Girls
Treat yourself to a night with family and friends by proposing a Come Dine With Me dinner night. Take it in turns to host your own exclusive menu and share the giggles and food over a bottle, or three (we won’t judge) of wine. It’s also a pocket friendly way to socialise – and you might even nab a new recipe along the way!
Film Club Fridays
Snuggle up and make it a family affair with film club Fridays. Between your countless rom-com DVD collections and the Netflix subscription taking over your daily sleep routine, you’re guaranteed to find a film to suit the mood. Just be prepared to cry, laugh and snort with laughter in the same hour (those dramas are a killer).

Challenge yourself to The Women’s Adventure Race event and sign up to take part with the girls. The event includes running, cycling and kayaking and takes place in Leenane, Co.Galway on July 26th and now with a second race in Roundwood, Co.Wicklow on September 20th.
