Could you stomach this while celebrating?
Are you sick of birthday cake? Fed up with chocolate gateaux and done with lemon drizzle? Well, we may have the perfect alternative.
The raw meat cake is now a firm favourite at birthday parties across Japan. Everything from tuna sashimi to beef roses, if you can NOT cook it, you can make it into a meat cake.
We’re not saying this is for everyone, but they certainly look interesting. And the meat looks pretty good too, if a little undercooked (gulp).
After the candles are blown out, the cakes are then taken apart by a chef and cooked in front of your party. So, relax, you’re not eating raw meat.
And just THINK of all the protein.
