We were very eggcited to be one of the first to visit the Creme Egg Café.
It opened its big purple doors to the media today for the official launch of the pop-up café before it opens to the public tomorrow.
We were greeted by a very enthusiastic Mr Egg who showed us to our seats and entertained us with singing and magic tricks.

We were then treated to Creme Egg Doughnuts, Creme Egg Brownies and Strawberries topped with Creme Egg shavings. They were as good as they sound.

Creme Egg Doughnut
They saved the best for last and the highlight of the menu was Creme Egg Toasties. Melted Creme Eggs in perfectly crispy toasted sandwiches. Heaven on a plate.
They’ve taken over the Lock 6 Café on Canal Road, Dublin 6 and the whole decor is fantastically Creme Egg themed.
From the cushions, to the mugs, plates, tablecloth and all the artwork, it’s a wonderful eggperience.
While the café is full up for pre-booked reservations they have limited availability for daily walk-ins. It’s open for one week only and closes on Saturday 20th February.
They have strict sittings each day as follows:
Lunchtime sittings from 12pm – 1pm and 1pm – 2pm.
Evening sitting from 6.00pm – 7.30pm.
Saturday brunch sittings from 12.00pm – 1.30pm and 2.00pm – 3.30pm.
