Many of us rely on the wonderful jolt caffeine can bring to help get through the day without wanting to go into the office bathroom and take a quick nap, but what about those of us who dislike tea or coffee?
Well it’s good news for the people who would love to feel more alert, but aren’t big on the actual taste of coffee. An American biophysicist Daniel Perlman spoke to Eater about his patented coffee flour invention, which is milled from par-baked green coffee beans.
Apparently, just four grams of the flour will provide the same caffeine hit as a cup of the strong stuff, and because the flour is made from green beans rather than brown, they contain far more CGA which is a powerful antioxidant.
Perlman said that because his flour is a natural caffeine source, it would be absorbed more gradually than a can of Red Bull and would offer more long-term stimulation.
There’s already caffeinated peanut butter, a two tablespoon serving of which is equal to a whopping two and a half cups of coffee.
The idea is that the flour will be used in a regular flour mix to give your regular croissants and donuts a little boost. We need this to happen, immediately.
