What kind of sorcery is this? You can now purchase Skittles WITHOUT the shell

I don’t know how to feel.

I never thought the day would arrive when I’d have to think of whether I prefer my Skittles shelled or not but, here we are.

Yep, Skittles have launched a new product, Skittles Chewies, which is basically all your favourite Skittle sweets without the hard, crunchy shell.

Spotted in Asda by Instagram page NewFoodsUK, they tried the product and now believe that Skittles are actually nicer without the shell. Interesting.

This new sweet product will be availble in both single and sharing sized pouches and we’re beyond excited for them to hit Irish stores in the coming weeks because this is something we’ll need to taste for ourselves.

I don’t know why I cannot get my head around the fact they’ve no shells, it makes me feel bare. Maybe all companies will now follow suit… Minstrels with no shell, Smarties with no shell heck, even Jelly Babies with NO SHELL. OK, I’m going off on a tangent now.

This news follows on from the JOY we had a couple of weeks ago when Lindt released a CHOCOLATE spread.

And while the product has been available in Italy and Switzerland for awhile now, this is the first time it has landed in the UK and now we NEED it to come here too like… ASAP.
