10-minute crafts to try out when you’re on babysitting duty

Brought to you by POM-BEAR, the bare bear snack.

Don’t worry ladies, we have got you covered.

We love babysitting our nieces and nephews. It gives us the chance to hang out with our favourite little people and give their parents a well-earned rest too.

If you can’t think of anything fun to do with your little tots this weekend then fear not. We have come up with the perfect list of handy indoor crafts you can use on a rainy day to keep everyone entertained (yourself included).

The materials are all things you can find around your house and we guarantee that they will think you’re the coolest aunt ever after making these.

Happy crafting!

Egg carton chicks.

This is the perfect craft for this time of year. All you need is a carton of eggs, some paint (markers will work too), and some orange card. Simply cut out each individual egg cup and glue two together, one on top of the other. Paint or colour in your little chick and add an orange beak to finish. Voilà, the perfect spring craft in under ten minutes.

Sock puppets

Have you got a few odd socks lying around? Make the most of them and turn them into colourful sock puppets. You can add things like googly eyes, pipe cleaners, and ribbons to finish them off. After you’ve made them put on a puppet show for the whole family. It will keep them occupied for hours.

DIY doll’s house

This craft is so simple. All you need is a small empty box (you can even use a cereal box), an assortment of coloured card, and a few small pieces of material. You’ll be able to spend hours organising and designing your perfect dolls house.

Paper dolls

This is a great craft to make if you’re  pushed for time. Grab a big sheet of card and fold it over and back on itself like an accordion. Then, simply cut the shape of a doll into a card and unfold. Colour in each of your dolls and decorate with lots of glitter and sequins.
