The Goonies is one of those films that everybody knows and loves which is probably why director Richard Donner is planning a sequel.
According to TMZ, he recently revealed that there is a follow-up to the 1985 cult classic in the pipeline. “We’re doing a sequel,” he told the website.
Donner also expressed a hope that all of the original cast including Corey Feldman, Josh Brolin and Sean Astin would be willing to reprise their roles.
As yet, it is not known whether ‘The Goonies 2’ will focus on the same group of characters or if they will just make cameo appearances.
Either way, we are very intrigued… “Goonies never say die!”
