A familiar face returned to Coronation Street today as Wendi Peters began filming her comeback scenes for the soap.
The actress, who plays Cilla Battersby-Brown on the soap, has started filming her six-week guest stint which is due air in October.
Show bosses posted a picture of her alongside her onscreen children Fiz (Jennie McApline) and Chesney (Sam Aston) as well as their respective partners.
Speaking about her return, which was announced in June, Wendi said: “I’m really thrilled to have the opportunity to revisit Cilla and the cobbles for a short while and to see what she has been up to for the last seven years.”
