Great British Bake Off viewers were left very shocked by a comment Candice made on the show last night.
First of all, she confused a lot of viewers by ditching her trademark bright lipstick for nude lips with some claiming they didn’t even recognise her.

But then later on in the episode she appeared to call Mary Berry a “tart”.
It happened when Mary and Paul were sampling her citrus meringue pie. Candice decided to combine lemon, lime and coconut to create a green and white pie.
Upon trying it Mary said it had a “very good flavour”, to which she replied, “Thank you. Tart.”
Cue people totally overreacting.

Of course, the real meaning behind what she said is very different to what people think. She wasn’t calling Mary a tart but instead was referring to the pie tasting sour or acidic.
