As Coronation Street fans will know, Kylie Platt’s exit scenes were aired this evening.
Speculation has been mounting in recent weeks as to how her character will be killed off and during this evening’s episode, Clayton stabbed her and she died from her injuries.
Viewers took to Twitter to express what they thought of the show and opinions varied greatly.
Some thought the scenes were heartbreaking while others were outraged that the episode, which was of a violent nature in parts, was shown before the watershed.
Here’s what people had to say:
Can't believe I'm sat here in tears watching coronation street ? #kylieplatt

There was a warning before the episode of violent scenes so people stop complaining it was too graphic for kids #Corrie
