Why do all good things come to an end?
There’s nothing worse than getting attached to a TV show.
Whether it be Stranger Things, Making a Murderer or Eastenders, we all have one show that we’re all guilty of spending hours watching.
One show that fans will no longer be able to binge on is supernatural drama The Vampire Diaries.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con in the US that the drama would end after its eight season.
One of the writers of the show, Julie Plec confirmed the sad news.
“We all have discussed it and we’ve made the decision that this is it…”
“This is going to be the final season of The Vampire Diaries. It’s bittersweet and emotional and we’re all going to be crying in a minute.
“It’s been a beautiful run…. Get ready, because it’s going to be an epic ride.”
Fans on Twitter were more than devastated to see their favourite vampire show come to an end.
