Keep an eye out for these guys when Game of Thrones returns next year.

Plenty of Irish performers have distinguished themselves with their performances on Game of Thrones over the years (Aiden Gillen, Liam Cunningham, Michelle Fairley and Jack Gleeson to name just a handful) and a couple more will get their chance to do likewise in Season 7 next year.

Game of Thrones fan site Watchers on the Wall have revealed that Brendan Morrissey, who has previously featured in Angela’s Ashes, Ballykissangel and The Tudors, will play the Frey’s Lord in an episode directed by Jeremy Powdesa.

Rory Dignam, meanwhile, recently returned from filming “a nice little supporting role” on the Game of Thrones set in Spain according to his management page, although no more information was allowed.

Rory has appeared in a number of productions at the Lir Academy of Art and will appear in a short film titled Absolute Compromise in 2017.

The first teaser images for Season 7 landed earlier this week, although they contain a mild spoiler about the fate of Arya Stark so bear that in mind before checking them out here.
