We love Netflix for its original series’ and documentaries, but now it seems the streaming giant has even bigger plans – involving Brad Pitt.
According to Deadline, the streaming giant has signed a $30 million deal with Plan B Productions and Brad Pitt to produce dark comedy War Machine.
The film, starring Pitt in the lead role is set to be released as soon as 2016, with filming set to begin in August of this year.

Brad will produce as well as star in the movie.
The movie, written and directed by by David Michôd, is based on the book The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America’s War in Afghanistan by the late Michael Hastings.
Brad stars as a general whose rockstar reputation lands him in command of the American War in Afghanistan but his honesty is his undoing.
He told Deadline: “We are so excited to be a part of the inspiring commitment by Netflix to produce cutting-edge content and to deliver it to a global audience.”
