A number of popular Coronation Street characters have quit the show in recent months and according to reports today, show bosses are worried that more of the cast are set to follow suit.
Alison King quit her role as Carla O’Connor, Craig Charles has said goodbye to his role as Lloyd Mullaney, Ian Puleston-Davies (Owen Armstrong) recently left the show and so did his on-screen daughter Katy (Georgia May Foote).

A Corrie insider spoke to The Sun about how the cast are feeling: “There’s a real feeling of discontent. It’s probably the worst we’ve ever known it.
“If the bosses aren’t careful, they could face a mutiny”.
It’s also thought that the production crew are dissatisfied with conditions and are considering a strike.
“They feel [the show is] now far too reliant on big crashes and huge dramas when it used to always be about humour and northern wit” said the source.
