The reason behind Georgia and Ellie’s fight on Love Island has been revealed

Love Island is about to get a LOT more awkward.

The reason behind the explosive confrontation between Love Island’s Georgia Steel and Ellie Brown has been revealed.

Last night’s preview showed the two contestants caught up in a foul-mouthed screaming match with each other – and there were reports that they even had to be separated afterwards.

According to The Mirrorthe villa has been left divided after the explosive argument about what happened during Wes and Georgia’s dates on Thursday night.

Wes picked Darylle and Megan for his dates, as Georgia picked Sam and Jack – who is coupled up with Laura.

Tonight’s scenes show Jack [Fowler, not Fincham] telling Laura that Georgia kissed him – despite being clear that there wasn’t anything between them.

He tells her:

“Then when we got up to leave, I’ve gone in for a kiss on her cheek and she came in towards me straight on and she kissed me on the lips.

“Then she went for a two kiss thing and I pulled away the second time because I thought ‘This is so not what I need right now.’”

A “gobsmacked” Laura is fuming after learning that her best friend in the villa had betrayed her, admitting she “doesn’t rate her as a person anymore”.

She confronts Georgia about what happened on her date with Jack, but the single Islander claims that her loyalties lie with Laura.

Georgia even tries to call Jack over to explain what really happened, but he says that the first kiss was unintentional – and Georgia went in for the second.

In the Beach Hut, Ellie says that Georgia should “practice what you preach.”

She fumes:

“You’re only as loyal as your actions are. Just by saying you’re loyal twenty times a day, doesn’t make you loyal.”

And that’s when it all appears to kick off.

Standing in the kitchen, Laura tells Ellie about Georgia lying to her about what happened – and, as Georgia walks past, Ellie says “it’s bullsh*t”.

Georgia tells her to “wind your neck in” as Wes jumps into the fray with his own thoughts on the issue.

Wes, who was on a nearby date with Megan at the time, says:

“Yes she may have instigated it, yes she may have started it but you kiss someone, you kiss each other.

“I’m not saying you’re [new Jack] wrong for doing it. I’m not saying Georgia is wrong for doing it.”

Dani sticks up for Georgia, insisting:

“Two people kissed for a reason! You can sit there and blame one person but two people kissed for a reason.”

And then Ellie points out:

“But then she shouldn’t have come back and said how loyal she is to Laura.”

Laura is left gutted that Dani has stuck up for Georgia so much, as both of them storm off to separate areas of the house.

In the Beach Hut, Laura says:

“Everyone always gets involved with everyone’s situation in here but choose your battles.

“If you don’t know and you weren’t there, then why would you think you would know over the people involved. What is going on?”
