The I’m A Celeb camp has been put into lockdown after eight dangerous spiders were found.

Specialists have removed eight funnel web spiders from the camp after they were discovered in a camera hide near the sleeping areas.

According to The Telegraph, Medic Bob has explained the dangers associated with the funnel web spider:

“In Australia we have the world’s most dangerous spider which is the funnel web.

“The funnel webs are the most dangerous spider in the world.

“There is an anti-venom and of course none of the celebs have ever been bitten by them – a couple of crew have been bitten in the past.”

There are other worrying creatures in the camp with a venomous brownsnake found near where the celebrities were. Speaking about finding the snake Bob said:

“Normally we don’t get these – we haven’t had one for 15 years. They prefer open paddocks.

“And ours is a rainforest. Well last week we found one in the top helipad. They are very vicious snakes.”
