There’s still a few months to go until season 3.
But Riverdale released their first teaser trailer over the weekend, after the cast appeared at Comic-Con.
Most of the almost-3-minute clip is kind of a recap for every little (but totally bonkers) thing that has happened so far.

But it’s the last 45 seconds that we’re particularly intrigued by.
Archie and the rest of his friends are hanging out at Pop’s and drinking milkshakes, talking about the “worst summer ever”.
Which also means he probably doesn’t end up in jail for too long, surely?
Anyways, it’s Labour Day Weekend and they all head out to the lake for some rest.
It looks peaceful. Everyone is so happy.
But it’s Riverdale – so peaceful and happy doesn’t last for too long.
The final seconds of the trailer show Betty cautiously going down the stairs in her house and stepping into the backyard where…well, we’re not entirely sure what is going on.
She appears to walk in on some kind of sacrifice/ritual involving Polly’s twins, Dagwood and Juniper, as a group of people surround a giant fire.
Among the group? Her mum, Alice.
We’re kind of wondering if this group is the “farm” that Polly said she was going to in the season two finale – and that they may have finally made their way to Riverdale.
