We’re dying to see this.

Netflix’s budget seems to be getting bigger and better in recent years with such shows The Get Down reportedly costing $100 million to make and Orange is the New Black reportedly costing $50 per season.

So when it came to the new royal show The Crown, there was no exception. It reportedly cost $156 million to make.

It centers around Queen Elizabeth II eventful early years in her position. She is played by Claire Foy and her husband Prince Philip is played by Matt Smith. It begins in 1947, 6 years before her coronation and see’s the young woman deal with the death of her father King George VI.

Even before the trailer was released, the was hype around this period drama because it is written by Peter Morgan who also wrote the award winning film The Queen starring Helen Mirren and also worked on 2008 film Frost/Nixon.

Between the story-line, costumes and brilliant cast, we can’t wait to see the show’s first season, coming to Netflix in November.
