Artem Chigvintsev, who won Strictly Come Dancing in 2010, has spoken about why he quit the BBC show.
The professional dancer, who appeared on SCD between 2010 and 2014, has said that it was tough when the company kept changing the show’s producers and it was difficult having to constantly work with new people.
At the time of his departure, it was thought that Artem left because he joined US show Dancing with the Stars but it now appears there was more to it.
Speaking to The Press Association, Artem said: “The BBC kept changing producers and executive producers of the show.
“So once you really know how to work with one person, then they are changing and you’re trying to find a way to work with another person.
“I think that was my biggest determination why I wanted to leave the show”.
Artem won the show with former Eastenders actress Kara Tointon in 2010, with the pair later forming a romantic relationship.
