The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival line-up has already been revealed to us but the festival are still releasing a couple of surprises here and there.
This, however, has to be our favourite yet. Today, JDIFF confirmed that Stanley Tucci would be visiting Dublin to take part in a public interview on Saturday February 15th.
Tucci will also be honoured with a Volta award from the festival for his work in film at the event.
The actor has a long and distinguished career in cinema, theatre and television, resulting in him being one of the most recognisable actors working on screen today and has appeared in more than 50 feature films.
He earned an Oscar nomination, along with Golden Globe, BAFTA, SAG and Broadcast Film Critics nominations for his chilling performance in The Lovely Bones in 2008. Some of his most memorable performances came in a variety of films including The Devil Wears Prada; The Hunger Games; Julie & Julia, Road to Perdition and the excellent Margin Call.
The public interview will take place at 2pm on Saturday February 15th in Light House Cinema. Tickets go on sale on Friday February 7th priced €7 from www.jdiff.com or (01) 6877974. Tucci will be presented with his Volta Award following the public interview.
Let’s have a look at one of our favourite characters played by Tucci…
