There’s about to be a shake-up on Albert Square ahead of Max Branning’s trial, when daughter Lauren returns to defend her dad’s justice.
Lauren will return to Walford for Max’s trial later this month, desperate to set the record straight on who murdered Lucy Beale.
Lauren confronts Jane about her secret, but is reassured that Max will be found innocent and is convinced to stay quiet.
However, when Lauren hears the details of the trial, she begs her sister Abi not to give evidence against their father, but fails in her plans to stop Cora giving evidence.
Left angry and frustrated by the mounting pressure, Lauren storms over to the Beale’s house to confront Jane.
During an angry outburst, she tells Jane that she’s going to tell the truth… moments before her waters break.
Lauren is rushed to hospital, where she gives birth to a son Louie, surrounded by Jane, Carol and Abi.
While alone with her sister, Lauren insists to Abi that Max didn’t kill Lucy, but she’s unsure if her sister believes her.
Lauren later tells Jane that if Max is found guilty, she will be telling the truth about who really killed Lucy.
Viewers will have to wait and see how Jane handles the news.
