If you couldn’t stay awake for the Academy Awards last night, don’t worry because we have all the need-to-know information about film’s biggest night right here.
We pumped ourselves full of caffiene and stayed up live blogging the event here but if you just want to catch up on the winners and some of the gossip, here’s a handy fix you can digest on the commute into work.
Unsurprisingly, Ben Affleck’s Argo claimed the coveted Best Picture award, beating Les Miserables and Silver Linings Playbook. Ben was clearly delighted as he accepted the Oscar from screen legend, Jack Nicholson.
Daniel Day-Lewis made history when he scooped the Best Actor award for his portrayal of Abraham Lincoln in Licoln. Daniel is the first man to be named ‘Best Actor’ three times. Jennifer Lawrence won the Best Actress award for her part in Silver Linings Playbook (she also took an unfortunate tumble on her way to collected the gong, which you can read about here).
Ang Lee scooped the award for Best Director for his masterpiece Life of Pi. And Quentin Tarantino won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for the epic Django Unchained.
Our favourite lady, Adele won the Oscar for Best Original Score for Skyfall the James Bond theme song that she penned. Her speech was absolutely fab and she looked amazing. Don’t believe us? Here’s some photographic proof:

Anne Hathaway won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her part in Les Miserables and Christoph Waltz went home with the Best Suppirting Actor gong for his part in Django Unchained.
Disney’s Brave won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film and Amour won the Best Foreign Language Film award.
