It doesn’t matter what you make of him, Simon Cowell is an expert when it comes to launching hit shows and finding new talent.
Still, if we were guessing what his next venture was going to be, we definitely wouldn’t have guessed that it was finding a DJ.
That’s right, the music mogul has apparently teamed up with Yahoo and Ultra Records for a new show called The Ultimate DJ.
It will see up-and-coming electronic music producers and DJs go up against each other in the hope of bagging a record deal with Sony Music and a headline spot at a major music festival.

According to reports the public will get to choose the winner of the series, which will be online, by voting on Tumblr.
Speaking about the project on Twitter, Simon said: “The show is intended to showcase the incredible talent that electronic music has shown the world. It will be made with respect.”
