Samia Ghadie has hinted at some of the upcoming drama on Coronation Street.
The actress, who plays Maria Connor in the soap, has revealed that her character’s romance with Luke Britton (Dean Fagan) won’t continue to go smoothly.
Maria and Luke have grown close in the show (image: ITV).
She said in her most recent column for OK! magazine: “Things have been going pretty well between our characters for a while so I think Maria is due a bit of drama.”
Samia, who is pregnant with her second child, also touched on the live episode which will air in September (she will miss it due to maternity leave).

“All we do know is that there will be life-changing events for some of our most loved characters.”
