The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 has been revealed as the highest-grossing release of 2014 in North America.
As of Wednesday the action sequel had made $333.18 million (approximately €294.27 million), surpassing Guardians of the Galaxy which has brought in $333.17 (approximately €294.26 million).

Guardians of the Galaxy came second.
In 2013 The Hunger Games: Catching Fire also took the top spot, making this the first time in history a film franchise has claimed the title two years running.
The final instalment, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, is out in November this year and we have no doubt that it will be just as successful.
