We’re all familiar with the ‘Strictly curse’ right? When one of the celebrities competing on the show falls for their dance partner, even though they already have a boyfriend/girlfriend.
This series, it appears there may be a new type of curse causing trouble on set… that’s according to the dancers anyway.
They believe that the new judge, Shirley Ballas, has a role to play in this new curse and it’s all down to her getting the celebrities’ names wrong.
The first week she called Chizzy Akudolu ‘Lizzie’ and the following week she mistakenly called Charlotte Hawkins ‘Mollie’. Both weeks, when the mistakes were made, the girls got booted off.
Now, the dancers think if their name is said wrong by Shirley, then they too will be kicked off the show.
A source told The Daily Star:
“There is a genuine feeling that if Shirley gets your name wrong then you are doomed.
It’s like a witch’s hex. Some are even thinking about wearing name badges.”
Now, you’ll have to take this with a pinch of salt.
As viewers will know, Charlotte and Chizzy were the weakest of the dancers and it was only natural that they would leave the show.
