One Late Late Show Viewer Was NOT Impressed With This “Inappropriate” Valentine’s Segment

However, RTÉ claim they only received one formal complaint.

In fairness, one out of 612,100 ain’t bad.

That’s right – a whopping 612,100 tuned in to catch the Valentine’s Day special of the Late Late Show which aired on Friday last.

One look at the #LateLateShow hashtag on Twitter would tell you the special went down a storm

However, one viewer was not at all impressed, and deemed Dean Dixon’s tipsy appearance “not appropriate”.

Dean aka “Exotic Deano”, was chosen from the audience to partake in a Blind Date segment, and was very “enthusiastic” altogether.

However, viewer Jason Lee told The Mirror that he was not at all impressed by the “obvious use of an intoxicated guest on the show” and felt for the “Kerry lady who chose him in ‘blind date’”.

Jason said he informed the broadcaster that he felt featuring someone who had been drinking was “not appropriate for the guest himself” and expressed his hope that there were “correct procedures in place for such situations”.

However, a spokesperson for RTÉ doesn’t seem too worried, as the lusty episode received just one formal complaint, with a further 10 viewers calling to offer their feedback.

Late Late Show executive producer, Larry Masterson, said: “Friday night’s show was great craic and the response we have had, especially from younger viewers has been phenomenal.

“Fifty years to the weekend the nation was scandalised when a married woman discussed her nightwear – or lack thereof – with Gay Byrne, the Valentine’s special shows how far we have come as a country.

“We’re already planning to make next year’s bigger and better than ever.”

As for Deano, he had a dose of the fear alright, but was very impressed with our JOE bros’ stunning meme.
