It’s up to the public to crown the winners.
The National Television Awards shortlist has been announced, with voting now open to the public. Out of 15 categories, you’ll be able to choose your favourite shows and people on TV, from the likes of Serial Drama, Comedy, TV Presenter, Newcomer, Challenge Show and Live Magazine Show.
There’s also an extra viewer-suggested category for TV Moment Of The Year, which will be revealed on the night of the awards ceremony.
Dermot O’Leary is back again to host the awards, airing January 20th on ITV, at 7:30pm.
The award is getting the most attention this year is the award for Best Drama, which sees Downton Abbey nominated for its final National Television Award, going up against Doctor Who. The period drama has previously won the award three times.
Ant & Dec, who are nominated again for the TV Presenter category, have won the award 14 years in a row.
