Natalie Anderson has opened up about her decision to leave Emmerdale after five years.
The actress, who plays Alicia Metcalfe on the soap, announced that she was leaving earlier this year.
Natalie starred on the soap since 2010.
This week, speaking on Lorraine, the 33-year-old revealed the reason behind her departure.
She said: “It was easily a year in the making, that decision.”

Natalie’s final scenes will air this week.
“To be honest, the main thing was my little boy. I went back to work really early after I had him. He was 11 weeks old when I went back to work.”
The actress added that “starting at 7 in the morning and finishing at half past 7” meant that sometimes she would go a week without seeing her son.
Natalie’s final scenes will air this week.
