The actor who plays Special Agent Tony DiNozz confirmed the news on Twitter.
Michael Weatherly has confirmed that he’s leaving NCIS after 13 years on the show.
Weatherly plays Special Agent Tony DiNozzo, who has been with the show since it began in 2003. He’s continuing until the end of the current season but won’t return for the next.
He confirmed the news on Twitter saying, “DiNozzo is a wonderful, quixotic character & I couldn’t have had more fun playing him over the past 13 seasons.”
He also praised the crew and crew:
“I will miss the amazing crew & cast, who are like family to me, & to the fans all over the world – THANK YOU, it’s been a fantastic ride!”

The network where NCIS is shown, CBS, also confirmed the news with E! News saying,
